It’s not every day my favorite cartoonist ever asks me to dance.
Me drawn by Lucy Knisley on the left, Lucy Knisley drawn by me on the right!

TCAF was just the greatest, as captured in this photo of Jeff Smith giving me a giant hug- I didn’t even ask. We are getting married in the spring. No not really. My actual fiance told me I have to stop saying that.
I’m not slapping him with overstuffed sausages- that stubby dumpy thing is my hand.
I also met Scott Campbell and bought a tiny print of the Poltergeist showdown- and guess what! He was a super nice guy! He is just as friendly as his art is. It was a wonderful thing to learn.
I gave Lucy Knisley the painting of her cat and we chatted a bit- what a dream that was. It’s just so nice to learn that I can admire these people as people just as I admire them as artists.
We saw the Avengers on Saturday, which really fit in with all the art of the festival; It came from such talent that to be immersed in it was so terrifying and inspiring at the same time! When we came home Sunday I worked and worked for 7 hours straight.
This is Lucy Knisley’s cat.
I am going to TCAF this weekend and I will be giving her this painting.
That is how awkward I am.
(it looks better IRL because that yellow is actually gold)
